Art Blumenthal was formerly President of Anderson BDG Corporation acquired by CarParts Technologies in January 2001. Anderson BDG Corporation developed and marketed the VAST Shop Management Software to tire and auto service dealers, now marketed and developed as CarParts Technologies Shop Management System. He joined the business in 1988 as Director of Marketing for Business Data Group (BDG) and orchestrated a merger in 1992 with Anderson Undercar Software, Inc. During this time, the business grew from 40 customer locations to over 2,600, becoming the leading supplier of software to national auto service chains and franchise organizations.

Mr. Blumenthal started in the automotive services business as a young entrepreneur in 1979, operating a Midas franchise. Subsequently, he opened 3 additional franchises, and eventually sold them in 1988.

Mr. Blumenthal holds an Engineering Degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology, a Master in Business Administration from Rutgers University , and post graduate studies in Real Estate at New York University .
